Writing was always just for me, and it wasn’t until...
...my husband, Kenny, encouraged me to “do something” with my story that I really started thinking seriously about becoming an author. As a history major and a middle school social studies teacher, history has always been my passion. There are so many stories that are left untold, so many lives that fade into the past, and so many desires and traumas that are silenced—and if my family has drama, I know their’s must have had it too!—those are the books that need to be written.
When I’m not teaching or writing, or parenting our two kids, K.C. and Skye, I’m exploring the Pacific Northwest, reading romance novels, and self-prescribing Target retail therapy.
